The Combarelles Cave is known for its 600 prehistoric engravings representing horses, bison, lions, aurochs dating from 12,000 to 14,000 years ago. Visits are arranged by groups of 6 persons maximum.
Fond de Gaume Cave
The Fond de Gaume cave is adorned by 240
cave paintings from the Magdalenien period. Figures include bison, horses, mammoths, reindeer, etc. Reservations are recommended as visits are limited to 200 visitors a day.
